Chicken Satay - in cups (Box of 12)
Satay has become universal in its appeal. I guess the Singapore government at the time was right to build Satay Club in the 70s. Located at the esplanade, the Satay Club was opened from sunset to early morning. Talk about vibes! What a beloved place that was. Singapore's charm offensive lies in its food and Satay is without a doubt one of the most riveting-to-watch foods as these skewered meats get grilled over hot charcoal, with a makcik or pakcik fanning the flames, with ease and control.
We try to make it as authentic as possible. Tender and marinated chicken pieces with the right spices are seasoned to be slightly sweet, slightly savoury and then grilled until juicy and slightly charred, creating a delightful combination of textures and flavours. The accompanying sweet peanut sauce, to me is what makes satay the stuff of legends! Uniquely Asian, nothing comes close to this grilled meat and peanut sauce combination.
With fresh cucumbers and rice cakes (ketupat), these cups are highly satisfying!
