We’ve been making this cake and selling them in slices for years. I just don’t know why we never got around to putting it up on the website and selling it as a whole cake.
Warning: this cake is very soft and is prone to crumble due to a soft sponge and the apple pieces in it. Try cutting using a super sharp knife, do a zigzag motion when you cut. Or chill it before cutting. But don’t worry, it tastes just as good if you cut a good slice or if you cut a crumbly slice.
