We've taken All Things Delicious' best butter cake recipe and combined a chocolate cake batter using the finest Dutch-processed cocoa.

Get ready to take seconds and thirds! There is simply nothing that matches this combo of chocolate and vanilla! This marvel of a marble cake takes time a patience to achieve its iconic stripes across the cake because we not only want a cake that is delicious, we want it beautiful too! A classic which will definitely be enjoyed during the incredibly personal questioning by aunties and uncles at any gathering (CNY, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas, family events, etc, etc)!

Butter cakes are the best kind of cakes. You don't really need anything with it. It satisfies on its own.

Take this Marvel Marble Cake for example. Firstly, it is beautiful to look at! Every time we cut it into slices, we cannot help but marvel at its chocolate & vanilla swirls. As we said, this Marvel Marble cake is just pure satisfaction! You can't ask for more, except perhaps for a steaming cup of tea! How delightful! Tea time is such a delightful hour, isn't it?!

I love making the alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate butter cake. It takes time–we measure each and every layer but the end result is always exciting to see, when we slice these for the restaurant. This timeless cake will always be one of my favourites!

Best in Singapore

I mean it, I really think it is the best in SG. I have tried so so so many, and I say with conviction it is the best. However, it is my mummy's marble cake that I really love and nobody does it the way she does. Her marble cake is heavy, dense, and very buttery. Mum is 94 and has Alzheimer's. I can't have her cake again. So, this is the closest and indeed the best in SG.
