This saffron tres leches rasmalai cake is soaked in a combination of three different kinds of milk - coconut milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk, hence it is known as tres leches or three milks. The tres leches are infused with pure saffron strands to get that distinctive and elegant fragrance.

Inspired by the Indian dessert, the Rasmalai, this dessert has a velvety, silky, pudding texture. The combination of the saffron-infused milk creates the perfect amount of sweetness and texture for a rich, moist, but still surprisingly light and airy cake. This sweet goodness gets topped with saffron-infused mascarpone whipped cream and edible flower petals.
