Good to Know - About All Things Delicious Paris Brest
About Paris Brest
The Paris Brest is named after the cycling route between Paris and Brest, a naval town in the Brittany. Created in 1910 by pastry chef Louis Durand, who was thought to have been coaxed by newspaper editor Pierre Giffard to create this little dessert to launch the cycling race between these two cities. The rest as they say is l’histoire! Choux pastry is renowned throughout the world for its deliciousness. It has a light, airy texture and yet it is firm enough to hold a variety of fillings. It’s seasoned with sea salt to balance all the richness of the fillings, giving you 100% satisfaction! Enjoy the nutty flavours of both hazelnuts and almonds in the wonderfully scrumptious creme mousseline filling. Works great as a pair or a box of 5 of choux puffs.
All Things Delicious serves halal-certified choux puffs, including scones, cookies, eggless cookies and vegetarian cookies, birthday cakes, classic cakes and wholesome food at their restaurant and bakery at 34 Arab Street. We make hand-crafted choux puffs and bake them fresh to order with pride containing only the best ingredients without any artificial colouring or artificial flavouring. We use European lactic butter, unrefined sugar and cage-free eggs. #welovewedoweeat
