All Things Delicious - Mel's Poem

Of flour and laughter
and little hands running after.

Of whisking and sifting
and don't forget the scraping.

Of sea salt and treacle
and to hear children giggle.

Of weights and measures
but sometimes, really, who bothers?

Of vanilla so pure
you couldn't ask for more.

Of eggs and cream
should I head for the gym?

Of rolling and chilling
my crust, be appealing.

Of herbs and cheeses
it's tasty, babe, honest!

Of story time and sleepy heads
hear now, get into your beds.

Of cakes and quiches
and all things delicious.
